I am researching the DAVISSON line in Hancock and Henry
Counties. My ggggrandfather, Andrew DAVISSON, lived in
Hancock County with his wife Sarah and children until his
death on Aug. 29, 1858. He was buried at Harlan Cem.
He was listed on the 1850 Census and came from Virginia
or W. Virginia. Other surnames in my research include:
KENDELL, CARROLL, HENDRICKS, RIGGS.
I would like to communicate with others researching these lines.

Co., IN. They started with Asa and Matilda Hunt Gooding (b KY 1803 &
1809 resp.) Both bur Park Cem., Center Twp. Family included David
Sanders GOODING, Cindrella Jane GOODING, Mary D. GOODING, Elvira M.
GOODING, Lemuel W. GOODING, Oliver Paul GOODING, Henry Clay GOODING, and
William Harrison GOODING. Am interested in finding out more on Mary,
Elvira, Oliver, Henry, and William especially. Would not turn down

I am researching the COFFIN family in Hancock Co. From my records it
appears that John COFFIN and his wife, Matilda WALKER, moved their
family to Hancock Co. between 1835 and 1837. My gg grandfather,
Zachariah Walker COFFIN was born 11 June 1842 at Blue River, Hancock Co.
I am willing to share any information that I have. I would be grateful
for any information.

Hancock County. George W. Morris d. 5-12-1912; he was b. in Rush Co. 10-
13-1856. His spouse was Sarah J. Wilson. He is buried in Curry's
Chapel. I am searching for his descendants as he was the brother to my

Looking for ancestors and children of PETER THOMAS, born
abt 1801 and his wife, NANCY LEWIS, born abt 1829. Their son,
LOUIS SELMAN THOMAS, was born in Hancock County
10 Apr 1844 and married MATILDA CLARA WOOD 14 Apr 1865.
Also looking for ancestors and children of CONRAD WOOD and
his wife SUSANNA PRIDDY of about the same time period. All
lived in Hancock County, Indiana. I have information on
descendents of these families to share.

His father was John Samuel TODD, b. 1854 in IN. His mother was

My greatgrandfather ALBIN WALKER POPE was born in Greenfield, Ind
on 9/1/1857. His parents were ANTHONY POPE AND ???WALKER. At a
very young age he went to live with his aunt and uncle R.F. WALKER
Albin and his aunt and uncle moved to Cadiz, Ohio, then in 1866
they moved to a farm near Oakland, Iowa. His mother married NATE
MANSFIELD and in 1888 She and Nate were living in Hand county
Dakota Territory (now So. Dakota). Albin was living in Florence
Neb. on 4/30/1888 Albin married Addie R. Lowry in Florence, Neb.
If anyone has any information on Anthony and his wife I would
sure appreciate anything and all info. Also info on R. F. Walker
and wife. Thank you.

Robert Jackson McCorkhill and family were in Hancock County from about
1830. I have his will dated April, 1860. I am interested in finding
out more about the McCorkhills. My gr-grandfather was Robert Jackson
McCorkhill, Jr., exec. of his father's will. I also had a great uncle,
George W. Morris, died in Center Twp., Hancock County, 5-12-1912. His
wife was Sarah Wilson. I would like more information on this family. Is
this the way I am supposed to ask for help? I will send all of the

James Jackson md. Huldah Morris 3-10-1881
Listed in Greesboro Twp. census for 1900; searcing for their children or
grandchildren. Lydia and Huldah were my grandfather's sisters. He was
Oliver Perry Morris. There were 10 children and were supposedly left as
orphans after 1870. I would appreciate any information. Thank you.
There was also a Susanna md. to Elmer Hiatt in Henry county--another

I have found some of my ancestors
in Hancock Co., and would like to find out more about them along
with connecting with others to get aide for both us to continue the
search.
I have my 2nd great grandfather by the name of James Albert
Pierce stated to have been born 4 Dec 1842 along with other
siblings. His parents were Sion and Sarah Elin (Jackson) Pierce,
who were married in Hancock Co., on 6 Jan 1841(this found in a book
called, "Indiana Source Book Volume 2).
