First a general question. What court records in Fayette Co. would you
look in to find commitment hearings.
In Dec. 1857, my ggfm, Susan M. HAMILTON was committed to the Central
State Hospital, which was the insane asylum of the day.
I have an index card from CSH with basic data, but no other records
survive. Since she was committed from Fayette Co., a hearing
should have been held there. Since these records are new to me, I am not
sure where to look.
Susan HAMILTON was born Susan M. ROSS on 7 Apr. 1825, the daughter of
Joseph D. ROSS and his wife Elizabeth. Susan married George E.
HAMILTON in Fayette Co. on 26 Nov. 1848 and she died 25 Nov. 1860.
I have her immediate Ross family and some of their descendants and I have
the HAMILTON Family.
George E. HAMILTON was the son of James HAMILTON and Mary
"Polly" EYESTONE. Susan and George HAMILTON had four children:
Thomas Jefferson Greenberry HAMILTON (my ggf)married Joanna EBBINGHOUSE
Delorus Cortenes HAMILTON (a son) married Emma REED
Florence Eleanor HAMILTON - married Homer STEELE
William Marshall HAMILTON - married Savannah AVIS
Interested in corresponding on anyone connecting to these lines and help
on where to look to find the commitment court records.

I am inquiring about a Nathaniel HAMILTON who moved to Connersville, IN,
from Hancock Co. IN. His son was William Merrill HAMILTON who lived on
Ohio Ave in the late 1900's.
William Merrill was married to Ella Bell TALBOT. I am trying to find the
mother of William Merrill HAMILTON. I found from my daughter that in
Probate Order Book "A" page 30 dated Oct 8 ,1821, page 128
dated Mar 7, 1826 and page 161 dated Mar 6, 1827.
Also in Probate Book "B" page 33 dated Nov 1, 1830 and page 46
dated Jan 7, 1831. I was hoping I might get a copy of these wills.
Please let me know what the cost would be for them.

I'm seeking information on John and Margaret CRUISE and
their descendants. They appear in Connersville on the 1850
census with son Richard and on the 1860 census with further
children, including son George Washington CRUISE. I have
not found them on the 1870 census.
John CRUISE was born in Ireland in the 1820s. Margaret's
maiden name is supposedly MOORE; she was born in Ohio in the
1820s. Their son George was living in Dallas, TX by 1880; I
don't know anything about their other children.
